I coached, mentored, and moderated at Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest climate-tech initiative, for over five years. Working with 100+ startups, I provided strategic coaching, business development, and branding support to help them scale in the competitive cleantech sector.
Challenge
The Climate-KIC Accelerator is Europe’s largest platform for early-stage cleantech startups. Its alums include Thermondo, Lilium Aviation, Green City Solutions, and ECF Farmsystems. The program’s mission is to turn visionary ideas into scalable climate solutions.
The accelerator culminates in an annual Demo Day, where founders pitch to 200+ investors and industry leaders. The challenge was twofold: equipping startups with the clarity, confidence, and storytelling skills needed to stand out and ensuring a seamless, high-impact event that strengthened Climate-KIC’s reputation.
Approach
I worked closely with 100+ startups, coaching founders on pitching, business strategy, and branding to refine their narratives and market positioning. My role extended beyond coaching—I delivered keynotes, hosted Demo Day, and provided ongoing mentorship, ensuring startups could effectively communicate their vision.
I helped transform complex technical innovations into compelling, investor-ready pitches while shaping the event’s structure and flow, ensuring a professional and engaging experience.
Result
The Demo Day became a pivotal launchpad for Climate-KIC startups, providing exposure, investor connections, and valuable feedback. Many secured funding, scaled their solutions, and expanded internationally. Beyond the event, my contributions helped shape a new generation of cleantech innovators, ensuring their ideas didn’t just remain in the lab but made it to the market, driving real-world impact on sustainability and climate innovation.
