Daimler invited me to host its inaugural startup selection day of their accelerator program, a landmark event former CEO Dieter Zetsche attended.
Challenge
Daimler launched Startup Autobahn, an accelerator connecting hard-tech startups with its industry resources. Based in Stuttgart, the birthplace of the automobile, the program aimed to identify pioneers in IoT, logistics, cybersecurity, and predictive analytics. The challenge was to create a high-energy selection day where startups could showcase their innovations to a jury and prove their potential to shape mobility’s future.
Approach
As host of the inaugural selection day, I ensured a seamless, engaging event that energized startups and the jury. I structured the program, set the tone, and facilitated pitches, creating a dynamic space where founders confidently presented their vision. My moderation focused discussions, highlighted key insights, and maintained audience engagement.
Result
The event successfully launched Startup Autobahn, selecting 12 standout startups for its first cohort. These teams embarked on a three-month accelerator, collaborating with Daimler experts to refine their innovations. The event established Startup Autobahn as a leading mobility innovation platform, fostering lasting collaborations between pioneering startups and industry leaders while setting a benchmark for future accelerator programs.
